Music genres TytCast supports

TytCast maps every track to a canonical 21-genre vocabulary across four families. The genre you select for each track drives which record labels are matched to it for submission.

Electronic (10 genres)

Techno — minimal, melodic, Detroit, hard, dub, acid, industrial, schranz, melodic house & techno

Trance — progressive, psy-trance, Goa, uplifting, vocal, hard, euro
Dubstep / Bass — future bass, bass music, UK bass, riddim, brostep, post-dubstep, trap
UK Garage — 2-step, grime, bassline, speed garage, broken beat
Disco — nu-disco, italo-disco, euro-disco, hi-NRG, eurodance
Bounce / Donk — Miami bass, crunk, hyphy, Jersey club, Baltimore club, juke, footwork
Hardstyle — raw hardstyle, reverse bass
Happy Hardcore — gabber, speedcore, makina, freeform, UK hardcore

Folk — indie folk, contemporary folk, acoustic
Latin — Latin pop, reggaeton, salsa, bachata, Latin trap

World (1 genre family)

Reggae / Dancehall — roots, dub, dancehall, lovers rock

How genre matching works

When you upload a track you choose its genre from TytCast's canonical 21-genre vocabulary, so genre tags stay consistent across labels and matching. TytCast then routes the track to the record labels and DJs that sign and play that genre.

Don't see your sub-genre listed? It's almost certainly mapped to one of the canonical 21 above. Upload the track — TytCast will tell you which it landed under, and you can correct it before submission if needed.
